Nature's harmony, Reunion π
We say that we want to return to nature like the old days. But this is impossible. We cannot revert and disown our creations so far. It is precisely because of how we have traveled so far, that we are here now. This desire to go back to nature is legit but misunderstood. What we seek is to be loose and natural.
To be loose and natural is to embrace all forms and remain formless, flowing. No barrier of nature is a barrier; that is why a river reaches the ocean. Cutting through the mountains, it reaches the ocean. But if human beings invent barriers, if human beings make arrangements, they can stop a river from reaching the ocean.
In nature, there is a fundamental unity, a harmony. The natural obstructions, the apparent obstructions seen in nature, are perhaps challenges to arousing energy; they serve as provocations to invoke what is latent in the being.
So why not enjoy the view? It is bound to reach if we are loose and natural. The artificiality humans have imposed on nature, the things humans have engineered on top of it, and the mechanical contrivances humans have thrown into the current of life, have created obstructions. Many rivers have stopped flowing, and then the rivers are blamed. It is paradoxical but the doing is our undoing. When we stop doing, we become loose, receptive to nature, and naturally, it is done. The river goes to the Ocean.
Nature is a harmony, a rhythmic symphony.
Stop doing, claim back your energy, flow with nature, become loose and natural - it is done.
This series was captured from my trip to RΓ©union island. After a hike down Piton des Neiges, I found myself in the forest of Belouve (bare feet as my shoes were drying). The conditions were just right, the misty forest was gorgeous. But walking barefoot in the muddy terrain, what an experience!
